ABOUT US

The Charity started in 1982 as Madressa Taleem ul Islam (MTUI) and moved to its current location in 1992 (charity registration 1098101). The purpose of this organisation is to teach Qur’an and Urdu and create an understanding of basic Islamic rules including the advancement of the Qur’an as exemplified by the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH); in particular, the provision of school for religious and academic education, religious services, and cultural activities for all Muslims.
The building was in a dilapidated state when we acquired it and it was renovated to its current status over these years. MTUI is unique, in a sense that it does not have a membership policy or any other regular source of income; all communities use this facility. Because of this, financial support depends on all of the Muslim community.
